My older brother (6 years) has finally ventured into the world of myspace. We live in two different states and maybe see each other once a year. Well the thing is, he has asked for a friend request on myspace. I mean he is just starting up and I think it is great, but I am somewhat hesitant. See, I have my profile set to private for a few reason. I blog quite a bit and some of my thoughts and the way I live my life are things I would not want my dad or any other family member to know about. It's nothing serious, just a few choices and thoughts in life my hubby and I do differently. It's just nothing I want shouted to my family. The thing is, I love him (no matter how I hate how he lives his life and I may comment every now and then) and would like to talk to him, I am just hesitant. Please help in my decision.

You can set your blogs to private so that only certain people can read them. That way you can be friends with people, but they can't always have access to your personal blogs! It's in the "blog settings" feature! Good luck!

i suggest making another myspace and putting stuff on there that you dont announced to your family, create a new page, yes you can do that, but make sure your family cant locate you by email or name. this way you can still have regular contact with your brother and still have you personal life.

you can accept your brother as your friend and then set your blog preferences to selected friends only, so that he cant read them. if dont accept him then he will ask you why, and you will have to tell him. so it's better to just accept him and change your blog settings
